Living My Real Life

Happy weekend my friend! My family and I created a long weekend by taking Friday off.  I mentioned a few weeks back that this is the dry spell for public holidays (none between June and October) so it just felt like we all needed to take a day.Jenna has actually been on holiday all week and Jesse managed to get Friday night off (he works in a restaurant so hours are long).  Andy has been working lots of long hours so we managed to convince him to take the day as well.  What did we do with our day off? We drove up the Kapiti (pronounced car-pit-e) coast for lunch (seen here on a better day).  You can't really see it in the picture below but the road meanders along the coast line at the bottom of the hill.

It was raining so wasn’t a great day to be outside but I’ll try and share some photos, etc next week.

All About Jump Rings

After doing my live workshop with Wardrobe Toolbox the other week, I went back to basics in this week’s tutorial, talking all about jump rings – what they are, when and how you would use them.  If you’re new to jewellery making, this one is especially for you.

Well, that went in a different direction than I thought it would – it turned out not to be so random after all.  Now you have everything you need for a late summer barbeque – a lovely table setting, a spice to add to your meat, a salad and dessert. And after the barbecue’s finished, you can retreat indoors to watch TV on the your new sideboard.

Well, that’s all from me this week. I hope you have a super stunning weekend.

Have fun – till next week …
