I have been working in Wellington this week and yesterday was feeling indecisive about what to have for lunch. I was walking along Panama Street and saw a sign that said "Gluten Free Hot Cross Buns". Of course I had to check it out!
I went in and found that this lovely little non-descript shop was fulled with gluten free goodies so I just had to share. I ended up taking a bacon and egg pie back to work with me. The pastry was crisp, not flakey but still really nice. Some of you may know that I haven't really mastered the whole pastry thing yet so of course I had an in depth conversation with the baker. Watch this space for result of my experiments (may be a while because I'm not home much at the moment).
In the meantime, if you'd like to taste the treats at the Panama Bakery please do. Businesses like this need our support to continue.
